Overstone Sav Blanc $12.00
Simonsig Chenin Blanc $13.00
Chenin or “Steen” has been South Africa’s white of choice since the 1600s. One sip is all it takes. Bright and clean acidity with remarkable passion fruit, honey, apricot, pear and limestone on the nose. Soft rich flavors and a lingering finish. You’ll swear it’s big-dollar Vouvray.
Mt. Beautiful Rose $16.00
From North Canterbury, south of Marlboro comes this lovely 100% Pinot Noir that was pressed off after just a little skin contact and then fermented in both neutral barrel and tank. It shows floral notes and intense sweet red berry aromas on the nose, while offering a dry palate that’s creamy in texture with good acidity. With hints of fresh-cut watermelon and pink grapefruit, this wine is medium bodied with a clean finish.
Maimai Syrah $17.00
So pretty. Brings a clear nose of Gimblett Gravels terroir beneath lush soft blue and black fruit with lovely violet and lavender notes. Palate is clean, balanced and very approachable. Just a hint of the Northern Rhone's meatiness but mostly bright fruit and enough acidity to hold it in check. Maybe the best NZ Syrah out there??
