Olivares Rose $11.00
Grown at over 2000 ft in the hot Jumilla region of Spain, these ungrafted vines get densely flavored but still retain some bright acidity. Lovely strawberry, orange peel, raspberrry flavors with a nice clean finish. Great bang for the buck.
Begonia Sangria $11.00
A delicious blend produced from the finest organic Monastrell and Bobal, spices and natural fruit essences from the Iberian Peninsula, using a family recipe going back two generations. They are ripened in the rugged vineyards in Cuenca and Yecla Spain and are blended with Azahar flowers, a mix of traditional Mediterranean spice and herbs, and the essences of real Valencia oranges. The result is an authentic Sangria that captures the spirits of the Spanish summer which can be enjoyed anytime of the year. 1L bottle.
Yes, we generally shy away from labels like these. Good wine doesn't need them! This is quality juice with deep, dark aromas of blackberry, cassis, licorice and cocoa with a lilting violet character. The dark fruit is lifted by some bright pomegranate and pepper but then also supported by a little oaky tannins.
This is still Burgundy but on a budget and using a different grape than the norths Pinot Noir. From one of the best, if not the best, Crus of Beaujolais, cola and light berry on the palate mixed in with a little mushroom and spice. A Rock Star at this price.
Wind Gap Soif $26.00
Fresh cherries, rose petals, cinnamon, blackberries and rich creamy fruit fill out both the exuberant aromas and flavors of this wine. Textured and succulent, this irresistibly light and chug-able wine is perfect for any occasion that requires copious amounts of delicious wine.
A truly remarkable vintage rose cava. Delicious nose of blueberry and raspberry scones with tiny pin prick bubbles. The monastrell brings just a faint whisp of blueberry and blackberry to the traditional apple, pear and light melon flavors. Finishes so clean and light.
Jean Claude Lapalu Brouilly $31.00
About as far of a taste as Beaujolais could be from Beaujolais Nouveau. This is serious Gamay showing wonderful terroir from the slopes of Brouilly. Light on the palate but flavor packed with ripe raspberries, mint and fresh earth. Wow, enjoy.
