Chenin Blanc

Simonsig Chenin Blanc Simonsig Chenin Blanc $13.00

Chenin or “Steen” has been South Africa’s white of choice since the 1600s. One sip is all it takes. Bright and clean acidity with remarkable passion fruit, honey, apricot, pear and limestone on the nose. Soft rich flavors and a lingering finish. You’ll swear it’s big-dollar Vouvray.

Domaine Pierre de La Grange Muscadet Domaine Pierre de La Grange Muscadet $16.00

An excellent representation of Muscadet. Very crisp and dry, wonderful up front fruit notes and the finish is of walnuts and lemon grass. A great summer time wine for light cheeses next door and for lighter seafood if you need to take one home.

Discreto Encanto Discreto Encanto $18.00

After years of making wine just to distill, Mexico's cool Guadaloupe Valley on the Baja has used temperatiure controlled fermentation to start making some serious wines! This blend of 85% Sauvignon Blanc and 15% Chenin Blanc shows notes of kiwi, pink grapefruit, baked apples with lilting aromas of smoke and stone.

Wind Gap Trousseau Gris Wind Gap Trousseau Gris $21.00

What the heck is Trousseau Gris? Well, its a light and crisp white wine from the alpine mountain sides of France in the Jura. We never knew that California could make a wine like this. Wonderful acidity with loads of tropical fruit notes and the palate is something not to be read but enjoyed.

Chateau Soucherie Anjou Blanc Chateau Soucherie Anjou Blanc $22.00

A refreshing white wine, with scents of exotic sweet fruits and white flowers. Not to be missed with any of our goat or brie cheeses. Delicate with a blanket of peach, orange peel and nectarine on the palate.

Champalou Vouvray Brut Champalou Vouvray Brut $25.00

Lovely gold with copious, tiny bubbles. The Chenin shows subtle aromas of orange zest, lemon zest, dried pear and a little floral honeysuckle. A sip brings a punch of lively apple, pear and light orange with faint honey and fennel. The finish leaves you pondering the wines many dimensions. Better with a wider range of food than Champagne at a better price for certain!

Champalou Fondreaux Vouvray Champalou Fondreaux Vouvray $28.00

The best producer and his best cuvee, if you are going to do Vouvray you might as well do it right. Soft and slightly sweet melon, citrus and peach. Elegant and supple with haunting flavors and not overly sweet. Find out what Chenin Blanc can taste like.
